The Lutheran Church Home of Buffalo, Inc. was founded in 1896 by a group of dedicated Lutherans who foresaw the need for a Chrisitian home for the well-aged.  It began in a house on Walden Avenue and moved to it's present location in 1906.  In 1950, the south wing was added and from 1988 to 1991 the entire home was renovated.
